Megaman 10 Revealed in Nintendo Power Preview

To celebrate Megaman’s 22nd Anniversary, Capcom has spoiled the birthday surprise with the announcement of Megaman 10 in the 250th issue of Nintendo Power. The game is said to be heading for WiiWare but just like the last game, it may also be heading to the PSN and XBLA.
The game’s story involves Megaman to go and find parts of a special machine that cures a virus in robots called Robotenza. (A virus that causes robots to overheat and go berserk.) A new addition in Megaman 10 is that you will able to select Protoman from the start and there will be a 3rd playable character, not yet announced.
The game will follow the same roots like its 8-bit predecessor. There will be 8 new robot masters, all with their on respective abilities. Each time you defeat a robot master, you will gain that ability and possibly use it to your advantage against bosses’ weaknesses. Megaman 10 will have an Easy Mode for the more casual player.
One robot master has been revealed in the Nintendo Power issue. Sheep Man will be a robot master that will prevent Megaman from getting a piece of the vaccine machine. His design looks like a sheep (perhaps a cloud) connected to a pair of limbs. He attacks by turning himself into four clouds and strikes thunderbolts downward. Defeated him will give you his weapon, Thunder Wool.
The Nintendo Power issue will be out December 22nd.
